Fugawi Canada Maps

Fugawi Global Navigator is GPS navigation software for the PC, which supports a wide variety of free-of-charge and commercial maps and charts, including Fugawi Digital Maps, BSB format charts (MAPTECH, NDI DigitalOcean), ECW, GeoTiff, eTopo, Spectrum Digital Imaging or any scanned and referenced paper map. Fugawi Global Navigator includes PDA editions for Pocket PC and Palm. Fugawi Global Navigator replaces Fugawi 3 GPS Mapping Software.

Fugawi can upload any map from your PC to a Pocket PC (such as an iPAQ or Garmin iQue M5) or a Palm device (O.S. 3.5+, including Garmin iQue 3600). Just select an area of a map and press a button. Fugawi does the rest. Enjoy compact real-time GPS navigation with your Pocket PC or Palm. Fugawi also synchronizes waypoints, routes and tracks with the Palm or Pocket PC!

Fugawi Global Navigator also brings you all the convenience of computer mapping without having to carry it on your travels. You simply position waypoints and routes on your map with a click of the mouse and then upload them to your GPS receiver for use out in the field. Upon returning to your base, you can download added waypoints, routes and tracks onto the digital maps for analysis.

In real-time navigation mode, your exact position is displayed on the map as you move and new maps are automatically loaded as you travel to new areas.

• 3D Map Viewing Now offers 3D viewing and "fly-through" See your maps as never before. Allows one to view any Fugawi compatible raster map in stunning 3D*. Use a mouse or joystick to 'fly' across a vivid 3D landscape or view your GPS position on the 3D map. Adjust date, time and lighting conditions to see how the shadows fall.

• Enhanced and simplified installation, menus and chart management. Fugawi Global Navigator has been dramatically improved to make software and chart installation a breeze. A refreshingly new and simplified menu structure makes the program far more intuitive for new users. An easier to use Map Library helps to keep your maps and charts organized.

FUGAWI MARINE ENC OR GLOBAL NAVIGATOR?
Q: "I want to use Fugawi on the road in Canada as well as on the water. Should I buy Fugawi Marine ENC or Fugawi Global Navigator?"
A: "Both software programs come with the Canadian digital street maps in their bonus data packs so are suitable for land navigation in Canada. Fugawi Global Navigator is a viable product for Marine Industry customers in Canada as long as their needs are very basic and they are not planning to go into US waters: it is suitable for those who use NDI charts and/or scan their own paper charts. Fugawi Marine ENC is a superior product for boaters: it offers AIS support, weather overlay functionality with free included US NOAA charts (complete US coastal water coverage), & optional Navionics support; in the future, new marine industry focused features will only be added to Marine ENC."

FUGAWI UPGRADES
Registered users of Fugawi version 3 can purchase an upgrade to Fugawi Global Navigator with a web download from www.fugawi.com. Those who have purchased Fugawi 3 after January 1, 2005 can receive an upgrade via web download. An upgrade with full media and a Bonus Data Pack on DVD is also available.

Fugawi Global Navigator and Fugawi Marine ENC are now available as a free 10-day trial. The demonstration version can be downloaded from www.fugawi.com/demo/version4.html The new demo is a fully working copy of the product (including PDA editions!) with the following minor restrictions:
• The demo expires 10 days after first running the program
• The demo will close after 1 hour of use, however the user can restart the program
