MapSend DirectRoute v.3 delivers routable NAVTEQ street mapping and turn-by-turn guidance for the US and Canada, plus millions of points of interest with contact information. Use MapSend on your PC to plan trips and transfer maps to your GPS. On your Magellan GPS receiver, choose a point of interest, and address, or any point on the detailed map, and press GOTO. MapSend DirectRoute finds a street route and provides turn-by-turn guidance as you navigate.

Features:
• Turn-by-turn instructions displayed with beep tone prompting at turn
• Calculates shortest time auto routing using distance and speed limit
• Simple manual re-routing. If you miss a turn, use GOTO key to re-route
• Full detailed coverage of the U.S. (Alaska not included) and Canada
• Possible to route on PC too, with qualifying GPS attached (can be used with a single GPS receiver)

Differences from Version 2:
• MapSend DirectRoute v3 on DVD upgrades the map and POIs on MapSend DirectRoute V2 on CD-ROM 1Q-2005 NAVTEQ data.
• V3 is 100% compatible with eXplorists, providing a much simpler process when transferring data from the software to an eXplorist unit.
• The DVD version require FULL installation of the software and map, which can be 1.5GB or more. Users with limited hard drive space may prefer the CD product which offers a "Typical" install option, which required about 1/3 as much hard disk space.

MapSend DVD MapSend DirectRoute v.3 (#980654-04) as offered on this page is provided on the identical MapSend Introductory DVD which is included in many new eXplorist packages, and includes an unlock coupon with a unique code and instructions on how to install and unlock the software. eXplorist customers who receive an Introductory DVD with their unit also have the option of purchasing an unlock code for DirectRoute v3 on the Introductory DVD directly from Magellan for $149 USD
