WIDE GPS is a
complete GPS L1 band signal re-radiating unit with dual antennas to retransmit
real-time GPS satellite outdoor receptions to an indoor environment. The helix
type indoor antenna system allows multi GPS receiver users to perform on-the-fly
normal receiver performance within a closed environment, while the main Mighty
Mouse GPS antenna can be located at an unmanned outdoor location.
APPLICATIONS/COVERAGE
The re-radiating indoor circuit with helix type antenna can support any type of
GPS receivers that use the L1 1575.42MHz frequency. It can provide good signal
reception to a distance of 2 meters or more, depending on indoor noise environment.
Can be used to add external antenna capability to GPS models that do not have
an external antenna jack (such as Magellan SporTrak and Meridian series, GARMIN
GPS 12 and eTrex series). Also useful for relaying satellite signals to
the interior of vehicles from which signals are normally excluded, due to the
presence of certain windshield coatings, or radio or heater wires embedded in
the windshield.
