OziExplorer imports all BSB format digital marine charts
including NDI Digital Ocean charts (Canadian) and
Maptech RML or PCX charts.

Proximity Zones can be set around waypoints so that an alarm will sound when entering
a zone. Great for marking reefs, sand bars, whirl pools etc. You draw a track
around a area (reef, sandbar) and mark it is an alarm zone.

Easy route creation by clicking on waypoints.

In the moving map display a compass moves with your position and a line cuts the
compass in the direction you are heading, if following a route or going to a waypoint
another line shows your course heading.

Navigation Control window (see image)
shows Distance to Next Waypoint, CTS (Course to Steer), XTE (Cross Track Error),
ETA (Estimated Time to Arrival) etc.

Records track log which can be played back.

Keyboard function keys F2 - F12 can be assigned for special operations, For
example: Man Overboard marker, waypoint at position, Start/Stop communications
with GPS, night vision screen etc.

OziExplorer will work with most GPS receivers that output
a NMEA 0183 string.

OziExplorer is a full featured GPS mapping program. Some
more expensive marine programs are only tracking programs and will only import
BSB charts or proprietory format charts.

Included with the OziExplorer program is a basic tide program covering the world
called Xtide.
