Get Outdoors ... Hunting

Are you a hunter? Check our selection of sturdy handheld GPS units for the outdoors, to track your way in and out of backcountry. Mark your favourite spots as 'waypoints' - also great for ice fishing and summer camping. Most handheld GPS units are preloaded with a basemap for travel by road.

Calgary Area Cachers event ... a great success!

We'd like to thank Pam for her kind words and event photos! Here's some of what she wrote:

"2 Days + 80 Geocaches + 100’s of delighted Geocachers = Great Adventure.

"The Calgary Area Cachers would like to thank GPS Central for being the Major Sponsor for the Calgary Cache and Release Summer 09 (CCARS09) event.  With your generous sponsorship we were able to add extra elements to this year’s event that we wouldn’t have been able to do otherwise.  

"The rally began on Friday, September 25th at 5:30pm and teams raced around the city until midnight when they gathered at a local restaurant to ‘Crash and Relax’, eat breakfast, visit, and then head back out on the trails.  Some groups went home to sleep for a few hours, while others carried on until dinner at 5:30pm the next day.  The wrap-up party was a great success.  As car flags waved in the parking lot, Nick’s Restaurant was packed with Geocachers sharing stories and pictures of their adventure.  Votes were made for the best  caches in each category and many great prizes were awarded – including the GPS Central Door Prize - an HP Netbook!  Everyone thoroughly enjoyed this year’s event and many people are already planning their caches for next year."
