MORE GPS USER TIPS! Q. and A.
Q. Why should I buy a GPS when a paper map costs $20?
A. These maps know where you are. They have phone numbers of nearby points of interest, similar to Yellow Pages. They talk.
Q. It's dark in Canada. It's winter! Will the GPS be a lighthouse beacon in my car at night?
A. No, it won't. The Garmin nuvis, TomToms and Magellan GPS have day and night modes. They are programmed with astronomical info like sunset and sunrise, so they will adjust themselves. If you prefer, manual settings can be used.
