Iridium
Satellite Phone -
9555 Handset
The smallest and most powerful Iridium Satellite Phone.
Discontinued.
From distant rigs to pitching decks, baking deserts to
frozen ice packs, the Iridium 9555 satellite phone can
handle any environment. It is small but determined, sleek
but industrial grade, easy to use but powerful. It is every
bit as rugged as the Iridium 9505A handsets – still resistant to
water, dust and shock – but streamlined and packed with
innovative new features.
With Iridium's gap-free, pole-to-pole coverage over every square inch of the Earth's surface, the
9555 satellite phone is the ideal communications option for people who work
in or travel to remote locations. With accessories and specialized
products ranging from solar chargers to fleet tracking devices,
you can be sure that your unique needs will be met.
The
9555 handset uses satellites instead of cell phone towers to send data and works anywhere in
the world. It is slightly larger than a typical mobile phone,
but still small enough for easy portability.
Very simple to use, it features a familiar GSM dialing
sequence. For outdoor use only.
