Packaged
in a low-profile, waterproof housing, the GPS 17-N combines GARMIN's 12 channel
GPS receiver and antenna with WAAS capabilities. The GPS 17-N outputs NMEA Version
2.00 or 2.30, providing the perfect solution for integration with marine chartplotters,
radar, fishfinders, as well as personal computers.
Entirely
automatic, requiring no additional equipment or service charges, the GPS 17-N
is designed to provide precise GPS positioning using correction data derived from
the Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS). The GPS 17-N also supports differential
corrections with input from an optional GARMIN GBR-23 beacon receiver.
The
GPS 17N also offers excellent EMI/RFI performance for easy integration into systems
that will be operated near mobile computing devices and wireless communications
equipment. The 30 ft. cable is terminated in loose wires.
