The
handheld GARMIN GPS V with the Americas
Autoroute basemap provides turn-by-turn navigation throughout
North America. The GPS V is designed to provide automatic routing
via interstates and highways using the unit's built-in, routable
basemap, or with downloaded maps from the MapSource
City Select CDROM which is included in the package.
The GPS V has 19 MB of internal, non-expandable memory that can
be used for download of MapSource maps. The GPS V does not use data
cards for map storage.

NOTE:
The GPS V will perform automatic route calculation from ONLY
the built-in basemap, maps loaded from MetroGuide Canada, TOPO Canada,
City Select or City Navigator CD-ROMs. Maps from other
MapSource products can be loaded into the GPS V to provide additional
detail in areas not covered by City Select, but auto-routing is
not available.

A 12 volt Adapter Cable and PC Interface
Cable are included with the unit. If you need to connect to a 12
volt supply and a PC at the same time you will need the PC

socket on the GPS V.
Basemap:
The version of the GPS V sold in North America contains the Americas
Autoroute basemap. We are not able to supply units with the Atlantic Autoroute
