Users can look up and route directly to specific addresses
or points of interest - such as restaurants, hotels, gas stations,
retail shops or ATMs - while viewing their exact location on an
electronic moving map. A unique "spoken text" voice prompt capability
can be used to identify turns by street name. These turn-by-turn
voice cues can be amplified through the car audio system's speakers,
with map graphics shown through the vehicle's video display. The
unit comes preloaded with detailed street mapping for all of North
America
The GVN 53 is operated with the included RF remote
control. The GVN 53 outputs NTSC composite video and will also simultaneously
output RGB with the addition of a custom cable harness; this ability
will allow customers to choose either video output.
