The large 5" screen of the AirMap® 1000 will provide the aviator a screen size large enough for Lowrance's "Glass Cockpit" panel displays. Not only does the screen allow the panel presentation of GPS derived HSI, Altimeter, VSI and Groundspeed but also allows an expanded Compass Azimuth allowing those hard to read headings to be no longer hard to read! Add in the pilot's choice of over 20 customized data boxes and you will be equipped with an unprecedented wealth of information never before available in a handheld GPS.

The AirMap 1000 features Jeppesen and Lowrance Obstructions databases loaded on one 32MB MMC card, an MMC/SD card reader-writer, a cigarette plug power adapter, an advanced active remote antenna, a yoke-mount bracket, a suction-cup car mount bracket, and a wrist strap. Jeppesen data can be updated online.

The HSI Panel Presentation offers the complete package in a familiar "Glass Cockpit" presentation. GPS derived GS, Altitude, HSI with optional OBS hold, Vertical Speed Indicator (VSI) plus expanded compass azimuth. Customizable data boxes add a wealth of information available to the pilot.	Combine the benefits of a Moving Map Page with the information and positional awareness of a Moving Compass Page, and you have the ultimate in a handheld GPS presentation - the Compass Overlay Page. Note the obstruction database indicating towers in MSL.	The Navigation Map Page includes both mapping and HSI navigation. Customized data boxes allow the desires of each pilot to be customized to their own needs. Note the Runway Guidance Approach feature drawing localizer type feather and all CDIs automatically set to inbound course.
