GARMIN's Pacific Highway Basemap

The Pacific Highway basemap includes Asia, Australia, and Oceania, and covers an area from W60 to E180 Longitude, S60 to N75 Latitude. Additional detail is included for the islands of the South Pacific and covers an area from W180 to W135 Longitude, S60 to N25 Latitude.

This basemap comes factory installed in these models sold only within the coverage area shown above: GPSMAP 76, GPSMAP 76S, 176/176C, eTrex Legend, eTrex  GPS Central is not able to supply units with the Pacific Basemap.

Please note: GARMIN mapping units come with built-in, permanent basemaps that cannot be altered. These basemaps come in a variety of global designations (e.g. Americas basemap, Atlantic basemap, Pacific basemap). Units with the Americas basemap are supplied by GARMIN only to dealers in the Americas; Pacific basemap models can only be purchased from dealers within the detailed coverage of that basemap, and likewise for Atlantic basemap models. Factory-installed basemaps cannot be altered.

The standard map coverage includes:

1. Oceans, rivers, lakes and major streams
2. Principal cities and smaller cities and towns
3. Major and principal highways, regional arterials, and some local roads
4. Political boundaries (state and international borders)
5. Large Urban areas (greater than 50K)
6. More detailed coastline with many smaller islands
7. Railroads
8. Airports
