The GlobalSat BR-305 PDA GPS Receiver terminates into a PS2 connector and by selecting the appropriate cable kit, it easily interfaces with your model PDA and also charges your PDA's battery, while powering the GPS receiver from your cigarette lighter. If you change your PDA or wish to use the receiver with a laptop, just purchase another cable.

A water-resistant housing with a built-in magnet allows flexibility for in-vehicle or external placement of the GPS receiver for maximum signal reception. The BR-305 is a 12-channel WAAS-enabled GPS receiver which has a built-in LED to indicate the satellite acquisition status.

BR-305 GPS supports NMEA 0183 protocol and so is compatible with these and most any other NMEA compliant PDA mapping software available on the market today:

For example, use the BR-305 to feed GPS output into Moving Map Software such as OziExplorer CE to display your location on digital topographic maps (such as those supplied by Spectrum Digital Imaging) or marine cartography (Digital Ocean products) your own scanned maps, or even on aerial photos or NASA Satellite Images! (OziExplorer Development Version and CE addon required.)
