GARMIN's Americas Worldwide Marine Basemap

This basemap comes factory installed with the GPSMAP 172C, 178C, 182/182C, 188/188C, 232, 238 Sounder, 2006/2006C, and 2010/2010C.

Please note:
• GARMIN mapping units come with built-in, permanent basemaps that cannot be altered. These basemaps come in a variety of global designations (e.g. Americas basemap, Atlantic basemap, Pacific basemap). Please check when purchasing a Garmin mapping unit to ensure that you purchase one with a basemap that's appropriate for your location and needs.
• For non-aviation use, units with the Americas basemap are supplied by GARMIN only to dealers in the Americas; Atlantic basemap models can only be purchased from dealers within the detailed coverage of that basemap, and likewise for Pacific basemap models.
• The only Atlantic and Pacific basemap models available from GPS Central are the Atlantic and Pacific versions of the GPSMAP 196.
• Factory-installed basemaps cannot be altered.

The Worldwide Marine basemap includes worldwide coverage of the continents.

The standard map coverage includes:
• Oceans, rivers down to 100 ft and major streams
• Lakes greater than 5 sq. miles
• Principal cities with population greater than 20K
• Major interstates and/or motorways and principal highways
• Political boundaries (state and international borders)
• Large airports
• Urban areas 50K and above

United States, including Alaska and Hawaii
In addition to the standard map coverage, it also includes:
• Cities 5K and above
• Tide data
