When I ordered, I chose the option which my order was to arrive in 2-3 days with Canada Post. The order arrived this afternoon. Upon opening my parcel, I noticed that I had everything in the order except for the GPS EMap machine and the proper batteries (two batteries, of different sizes were sent). I'd like to know where the hell my GPS is. I paid for a product and expect it to be delivered in its entirety. I'd like to know why I received an incomplete order for which I paid for. I'm requesting that my order be properly sent. I'd like to receive the missing merchandise. When a customer makes an order, at least have the decency to make sure the products are in the boxes. I use it do a couple things, first I use it to boundary a field to check the acreage. Then I move it to the tractor where it helps me gauge my track for fertilizer application. I do this by selecting an appropriate zoom level, and simply driving parallel at an appropriate distance from my last pass, shown on the map as a track. When I am done the field, the track has recorded a nice trace of where in the field I traveled. Missed spots show up nicely. Mostly it just helps to keep myself say 30 or 40 feet from my last pass down the field in applications where you otherwise can't tell where you've been. I spread fertilizer in the dark the other night. Thay may have been a first in North America. When the spreader runs dry I mark a way point so I know where I have left off for later. Then I can move back to the quad, boundary the area I fertilized, and given I have a known amount of product spread, I can calculate exactly the application rate on each load. This helps save money because I can correct rate errors between loads. I put on the correct rate without over applying. I tell you the machine works great for this.I use track logs to trace drainage tile lines, way points to pinpoint key location in those lines like 'Tees" etc. Ken May 13, 2004 Very nice, setup. It is excellent for farming as I jump on the Quad, do a quick run around my fields, and it gives me the exact # of acres. I could never have remembered them without the Legend quiding me. Most times I would use the map to find the stones, but if that didn't work, I would click "go to", and it would guide me right to them and tell me how many minutes/seconds I was away. However coming home just outside Riverside Ca. it quit. I damn near paniced because I have a very poor selection of paper maps. I tried new batteries thinking it might be in the power cord,Nothing. Then I heard a rattle. I took the back off and fond a screw rattling around so I found a likely looking hole and put it back in. Yahoo it worked. I get pretty worked up about this because I rely on my GPS to guide me through Southern Cal traffic pulling my travel trailer. You can't make sudden moves when you are pulling 7000 lbs in heavy traffic.This thing is a great stress releiver and although my wife was initially sceptical if this one ever quit I think she would quickly buy me a new one. During a pretty good snow storm, I was caught on a major freeway for several hours with very little gas in my car. My GPS unit pinpointed very accurately where the next gas station was and I was able to exit exactly where I needed to in order to avoid ditching my vehicle on the highway.
