What kind of BlueChart card does your Garmin unit take?

Garmin offers detailed marine maps and charts on Garmin Navionics+, Garmin Navionics Vision+, BlueChart g3 mircoSD cards, and BlueChart g3 Vision microSD cards, formats that make it easy and convenient to load detailed charts to your compatible Garmin. These data cards do not include any software for use on a PC. PC pre-planning is no longer available. Pre-planning can be done with Garmin’s ActiveCaptain App on either an Apple or Android based device. See the product compatibility lists below to determine which card is recommended for your device.

Garmin BlueChart Series, Navionics+ and Garmin Navionics Vision+ Compatibility

¹BlueChart and LakeVü charts will not work on ECHOMAP and GPSMAP chartplotters that have Garmin Navionics+ charts built in or are networked to a device that has Garmin Navionics+ charts built in.

NOTE: When you purchase a new Garmin Navionics+ or Garmin Navionics Vision+ cartography product, a 1-year subscription is included. The subscription includes access to daily chart updates and download of additional content such as raster cartography and premium features where available. Charts and features that are downloaded during the subscription period remain on the card, but no additional content can be downloaded after the subscription expires. For preprogrammed charts bought in-store or online, the subscription needs to be activated.

Garmin Navionics+ or Garmin Navionics Vision+ cartography requires that your compatible chartplotter software is updated to the January 2022 SW release or more recent version.
