The Garmin eTrex Vista C is a pocket-sized handheld that brings colour, automatic routing, longer battery life, plus more to the eTrex Vista. The eTrex Vista C and the eTrex Legend C are Garmin's smallest, least expensive products to combine a colour TFT display and advanced GPS routing capabilities in a waterproof design. Americas Recreational basemap built in.

Latest improvements
• 256-colour, sunlight-readable display makes it easy to distinguish map details and see where you're going
• Automatic route generation, off-route recalculation, turn-by-turn directions with alert tones, and icon-driven menus for finding points of interest (when combined with Garmin's optional MapSource CDs)
• Longer battery life
• Mini-USB port for fast, convenient download of map data from Garmin's entire library of optional MapSource CDs using a PC

The Garmin eTrex Vista C still includes those popular features of the eTrex product line, such as a compact, lightweight, waterproof design and user-friendly interface. The eTrex Vista C is WAAS-enabled, and like all eTrex units, the primary controls are oriented on the side of the unit, so the user can conveniently operate it with one hand. Also, an innovative rocker switch is located on the face of the unit that enables the user to input data easily, scroll through menus, or pan the map page.

SOFTWARE FOR GLIDERS Garmin GPS models with a barometric altimeter offer several software features intended to simplify navigation, competition and record keeping in a variety of gliding sports. By visiting the GARMIN web site customers with older systems may download this free software update for their eTrex Vista, GPSMAP 60CS, GPSMAP 76S, GPSMAP 76CS or VistaC. The Glide Ratio and Glide Ratio to Destination feature uses GPS altimeter functions to help competitors determine if they can reach their target without passing a point of no return. The Vertical Speed to Destination features uses GPS altimeter functions to recommend the optimal speed to reach a checkpoint in a gliding time trial. Additionally, the manual route transition feature helps users to maintain an active leg to a checkpoint. They will see an arrow pointing them in the direction they need to make their next checkpoint and also allow them to automatically or manually transition to the next checkpoint.
JUMPMASTER ACCESSORY A Jumpmaster accessory (intended for trained military jumpmasters) has been added to the Vista C. Download the latest Vista C software. Download Jumpmaster pdf
