Designed
for the freshwater fishing enthusiast, the GARMIN Fishfinder 80
has a high-resolution display (64 x 128 pixels), transmit power
of 100 watts RMS (800 watts peak- to-peak) and a single frequency
(200 kHz) transducer for depth and temperature.
The
Fishfinder 80 features GARMIN's exclusive Depth Control Gain (DCG),
which adjusts sounder sensitivity by depth, resulting in a more
detailed picture of bottom structure. These sounders have another
GARMIN exclusive, See-Thru technology, which separates fish from
thermoclines and structure, giving you a clear picture of what's
beneath your boat.
NOTE:
The combined transducer/power cable assembly supplied with the
non-portable Fishfinder 80 does not allow use of an extension
transducer cable; the transducer cable is 20 ft long, the power
cable is 6 ft long. The Fishfinder 80 Portable System includes
instead a 010-10249-00
transducer (30 ft cable, can be used with an extension cable)
and a fishfinder case.
