Garmin
Foretrex 301
Rugged
and lighter than many watches, the Garmin Foretrex
301 is a wearable, high-sensitivity, GPS navigator
that is easy to use, waterproof and can connect to your computer
via USB interface. The Garmin Foretrex 301 is ideal for hikers,
skiers, campers and military personnel.
The Garmin Foretrex 301 is ideal for activities that require both hands to be free. The Foretrex 301's high-sensitivity GPS receiver with HotFix allows for improved performance and reception in heavy tree cover or deep canyons. Keep track of your routes, tracks and waypoints (up to 500) and when it's time to head back, just turn on the TracBack feature and the Foretrex 301 will retrace your path right on the easy-to-read LCD display. The Garmin Foretrex 301 also incorporates a trip computer, sunrise/sunset times and hunting/fishing information and can connect to your computer with a USB cable.
The
Garmin Foretrex 301 supports dual position readout so you can view your current location in multiple formats, including latitude/longitude and an alternate position format of your choice. This feature simplified navigation for professional military, search and rescue and recreational uses.
Tip: If you would like an electric compass or barometric altimeter, if you want to use a heart rate monitor or cadence sensor, or if you would like to share your routes, tracks and waypoints wirelessly with certain Foretrex, Oregon or Colorado devices, you should look at the Garmin Foretrex 401.
