DG-200 Data Logger
For hikers, bikers, joggers, or anyone who requires a passive data logger to record and store waypoints from traveled routes will find the DG-200 to be the perfect solution. The GlobalSat DG-200 uses an integrated SiRF Star III GPS chipset and is capable of recording up to 190,000 waypoints into its internal memory. The stored data, which includes time, date, speed, altitude and GPS coordinates, can then be uploaded to a PC or Mac for viewing on third-party maps such as the free version of GoogleEarth®. The DG-200 is also ideal for geotagging.
The included interface utility for the DG-200 needs to be installed on a PC prior to use and it will allow to configure the device. Once programmed, activities like hiking, jogging, running, biking or driving can be recorded accurately.
When extracting data from the DG-200, the interface utility can export files into popular formats such as .csv, .txt, .gpx or even .kml for use with GoogleEarth® and GoogleMaps®.
Power is supplied by the rechargable lithium ion battery, which can be charged via USB through a PC or Mac.
